Pistol was a 9 pound red dapple. He was my unofficial service dog. He helped with a health issue I've had for over 20 years since the day he arrived here when he was 8 weeks old. He went most places with me and also visited at our local nursing home. He was by far the smartest dog I've ever owned. He figured out on his own as a pup to tap my leg with his paw when he wanted something and all I had to ask is "What do you want Pooh?" for him to show me. He went to his food or water dish if one was empty, went to the kitchen when he wanted a treat, to the back door if he needed to potty, and the front door when he wanted to go for a ride in the car. He even loved to go visit the vet! He passed away quietly at home June 1, 2018 after having age-related health issues his last few months. I was with him as he was breathing normally in his sleep and then it just stopped. I miss him more than I can put into words. He will always have first honor on this page as long as my site is up. RIP my sweet angel boy.

Romeo is a chocolate and tan long hair. He has a lot of champion lines and mostly long hair ancestry, so he has a very full coat. He didn't care much for being brushed when I got him, but has learned to enjoy it since he's been here. He's a bouncy, happy-go-lucky kind of guy. Like Rex, he's shy with strangers, but is a very loving dog once he gets to know you. He'd just had a bath before this picture and his heavy coat is slow to dry and still had some damp spots. Romeo is my biggest male at 12 pounds. Romeo passed away at 10 after a bout with pancreatitis that was not responding to any treatments.

Cass is a longhair red brindle sired by Romeo and out of Brindi. After 5 years of producing beautiful pups, Cass retired and went to a pet home with my niece. He has proven himself to be both a service dog who wakes her up if she has an asthma attack in her sleep and a therapy dog for anxiety.

Simon is a red piebald sired by Rex out of Destiny. He carries heavily for the piebald pattern from both parents and should also produce both blue and fawn.  He passed away in April 2022 at 11 years old. He is very much missed here.
Pedigree
Dante is a chocolate and tan longhair.  He carries heavily for the cream gene from his sire, Sam Hoback, and a small amount of blue from his dam, Amber. He's playful in a quiet way. We found out when he was 7 months old that Dante is yet another who loves the wading pool!  He got a little nervous  on the table too and made a little wet spot in the picture LOL. Dante retired at age 6 and went to a pet home about an hour from here. She said he was very easy to housebreak and has an even bigger personal pool now than he had here. He's loving his life of leisure! He is Angel's sire and Scramble's  grand sire

Blitz is a longhair no-point chocolate dapple (he can't produce pups with tan or cream points. The females he breeds have to have points to produce them in his pups) who also carries for and produces piebald. He can produce all colors. He got his first hair cut in July 2021 and was not impressed. The groomer said he has the thickest coat she's ever seen on a Dachshund, which is why he got a summer hair cut. He's enjoying being cooler now but he was a little miffed at me over it for a couple of days and he hates having his picture taken so I was on his list twice in one day. The hair cut picture is was taken right after we got home LOL. He carries for and produces dilute colors with females who are or carry for dilute. He is available for stud to outside females. Clear brucellosis test required and must be current on shots. Stud fee is $600
Kimba is an ee cream smooth who carries for piebald. He just turned 3 in April 2022 and sired his first litter here recently. He started off with a bang! The young chocolate female I bred him to just had 7 pups 8/24/2022 with mom and dad stamped all over them! 4 creams and 3 chocolates. Kimba was just shy of 10 pounds when he went to the vet to get his Rabies booster. Stud fee on him is $800 and females are required to have a clear brucellosis test done within 45 days of breeding and have to be current on Rabies and 5 way shots.
Draco is a mostly black red brindle medium coat. He shows more brindle now at 4 years old. He is for sale. He throws beautiful pups and is available for outside females with clear brucellosis tests and current on shots. He'll remain here at least until Cajun is old enough to breed. Draco produces both brindle and piebald. Stud fee is $600
